GetYourPermit does not ask you to create an account, enter an email address, or give us your property address. You can use every part of the site without creating an account.
How estimate choices are handled
The choices you make in the estimator — city, ADU type, and size — appear in the page address (the URL) so you can bookmark or share a report. Anyone you share that URL with can see those choices. We do not save them to the GetYourPermit application database or tie them to an account.
Server logs
Like any website, our hosting provider records standard request logs (page requested, approximate time, browser type, and IP address) to keep the service running and to detect abuse. These logs are kept for a limited time and are not used to build profiles.
Cookies and analytics
On the production website, we use our self-hosted Umami service and Google Analytics 4 to measure aggregate usage. Both receive page paths without URL query strings or hashes; Umami is configured to respect your browser’s Do Not Track setting. We also record a small set of estimator events: starting the estimator, selected city slug, ADU type, size, report view, and partner link clicked. We do not send typed city-search text, property addresses, names, or email addresses as analytics event data, use the data for ads, or sell personal information.
Links to city websites
Reports link to official city and county pages. Those sites have their own privacy policies, which apply once you leave GetYourPermit.
